Exploring the Individualized Journey of Counselling.

Collaborative, Integrative & Holistic

My hope is that our time together provides a safe haven, fostering exploration, empowerment, connection, and self-acceptance. When we meet, you can trust that I am fully present, witnessing your entire journey, from the difficult to the joyful.

What to Expect

  • Safe-Enough Connection

Expect a supportive and curious environment where we explore your experiences together. Feeling awkward at first is common, and that’s okay.

The first few sessions focus on establishing a safe enough space for our conversations. I tune into you, and gently invite suggestions and offerings to help ensure your comfort.

  • Collaboration

Throughout our time together, we'll collaborate on goals that align with your hopes and needs. I will inquire about your background, what brings you to counselling, and what you hope I can help you with. And you get to decide how much or how little you’d like to share. Silence is okay too.

You may decide you’d like ongoing sessions- or shorter, focused support- we’ll work together to find what works best for you.

  • Somatic Exploration

I encourage us to slow down, and get curious about what is happening beneath the words. You might hear me ask, “what sensations do you notice inside right now?”

I might also invite gentle grounding and resourcing strategies,. These practices may help bring regulation and organization to the nervous system, allowing for the possibility of new insights and integration.

  • Diverse Session Topics

You may choose to talk about any aspect of life that you like. Whether it's sharing daily experiences, discussing short or long-term goals, reflecting on past relationships, or navigating difficult emotions — it's all welcome. I invite you to show up as you are, with your tears, laughter, anger, or numbness. There's no wrong way to show up; each session unfolds and emerges to meet your needs in the present moment.

  • Interventions

In our sessions, we may explore a range of interventions, including gentle grounding techniques, movement exploration, metaphor, imagery, humour, re-authoring stories, body awareness exercises, and deep processing and integration of early attachment wounds. Additionally, I might recommend specific strategies, practices, books, or podcasts for you to explore outside of our sessions.

  • Varied Client Experiences

Clients often express feeling 'lighter' and report increased clarity, energy, and improved well-being. However, exploring challenging emotions can also bring moments of discomfort or exhaustion. I encourage us to navigate these moments at a pace comfortable for you, ensuring a supportive therapeutic journey.

My therapeutic approach reflects a blend of diverse teachings and modalities, uniquely tailored to your needs and our evolving relationship.
